Statement from Jim Sutcliffe, CEO
Old Mutual's Offer for Skandia is now closed with final settlement taking place on the 24 March 2006.
Old Mutual will now initiate a compulsory purchase process under the Swedish Insurance Business Act in respect of those Skandia Shares that are not owned by Old Mutual.
Old Mutual intends to commence this process as soon as permitted under Swedish legislation.
